However, the music legend's condition is seemingly more serious than initially believed by her doctors as they have recommended that she takes further time off work to rest. Therefore, the singer has been forced to postpone ten further concerts of her current 'Dressed To Kill Tour'.
After the announcement that the dectet of shows had been postponed, the 'All I Really Want To Do' singer told her two-million followers on Twitter: "I'm so sorry that I had to move shows and disappoint you. I don't cancel unless I can't get up. This virus is a killer."
Cher told her fans on the social networking site that she had not tweeted for a while because her eyes hurt form her infection: "Haven't text because hurt eyes".
The postponed shows are as follows: The 15 September Allentown, Pa concert will now be held on 2 December; 17 September Newark, N.Y. concert on 12 December; 19 September New York, N.Y. concert on 10 December; 20 September New York, N.Y. on 15 December; 22 September Uniondale, N.Y. on 8 December; 24 September State College, Pa on 13 October; 26 September Boston, Mass. on 9 October; 27 September Hartford, Conn. on 11 October; 29 September Washington, D.C. on 6 December; and 1 October Detroit, Mich. on 23 November.
As with last week's pair of postponed gigs, fans can keep their tickets for the rescheduled dates or get a refund if unable to attend.
This is so sad. I'm sad about my concert but I'm even sadder that Cher is sick and suffering. Please get well soon Cher. I'm sending prayers and good vibes your way!
