Cher Comments on The Passing Of One Of Her Idols -- Debbie Reynolds

Cher tweeted about one of her idols, Debbie Reynolds, who sadly passed away yesterday, aged 84.

The 70-year-old The Way Of Love singer tweeted to her 3-million followers: "This is tragic. I loved Debbie, she was tough, funny, told the best old 40's-50's showbiz stories and lived through Hollywood bullsh*t. A huge testamen to her".

We recently learned about a new song that Cher has recorded, written by long-time collaborator Diane Warren.

The legendary Closer To The Truth singer now revealed on Twitter that the heartbreaking song is for the upcoming 2017 documentary film Cries From Syria, directed by Evgeny Afineevsky.

"CRIES FROM SYRIA focuses on child protesters, revolution icons, activists and their relatives, and high-ranking Army generals who defected to join the fight of the people. It tells the story of the Syrian people who have never lost hope. This film will take the audience on a unique journey in time, from Syria to Turkey, through Jordan, Lebanon and Europe. We will see the situation from the inside out, and through the CRIES FROM SYRIA."

Grammy Award-winning legend Cher commented on an old topless snapshot of her in a pool.

The photo shows the slim and tanned "cranky"-looking singer-actress with best friend Paulette Howell. One fan (@dudleydew) tweeted the photo to Cher, stating, "Someone looks a bit cranky?"

Cher responded, "I was topless, the sun was in my eyes, and Pauli is one continuous Smile".

Cher Shares Memories Of George Michael And Carrie Fisher

Highly-successful singer-songwriter George Michael died on Christmas Day, and Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher died just two days later.

Cher took to Twitter today to comment on the passing of the two much-loved worldwide stars, whilst sharing memories of the two of them.

The 70-year-old If I Could Turn Back Time singer took to the social networking site to tell her 3-million followers: "So sad about Carrie and George, I have no words. I keep forgetting and then suddenly remember. Such great artists dying, and many are too young. Am heartsick."

Cher To Release 'Classic Cher' on DVD?

A tweet by Cher seemingly indicates that Classic Cher will be released on DVD.

It was a a near-crime that Cher's rock-ish, sexy Love Hurts Tour was not recorded for home video release in the early-1990's. And it was actually shocking when it was revealed that her 2008-2011 Las Vegas residency was not filmed for a DVD/Blu-ray release.

When it comes to her 2014 Dressed To Kill Tour, we can forgive the lack of its release due to the tour's fate.

Cher Sued A Whopping $5-Million Over Closer To The Truth Font

Singing superstar Cher is reportedly being sued for a whopping $5-million for allegedly stealing the font used on her 2013 Closer To The Truth album cover.

The album features the Woman's World-singer's name and album title written in gold lettering with swishes around the font. According to TMZ, graphic designer Moshik Nadev claims to have created the typeface in 2011 and is said to have earned acclaimed from graphic design websites.

Campaign Launches To Make Cher's If I Could Turn Back Time The UK Christmas Number One #turnback2016

The UK's Telegraph reports how a campaign has started to make Cher's 1989 UK#6 hit If I Could Turn Back Time the #1 single at Christmas, due to its somewhat fitting title:

A campaign has launched to make Cher's 1989 hit 'If I Could Turn Back Time' the Christmas number one slot this year.

Paul Joseph, 39, from Lamberth, started the initiative in an attempt to send out "a communal statement" against everything negative that has happened this year, citing "Brexit, Donald Trump... and the deaths of so many legendary celebrities", as his inspiration.

Cher tweeted about a new song that she has recorded, written by longtime collaborator Diane Warren.

The 'Burlesque'-actress wrote on social networking site Twitter: "I just got home from studio. Did the title song for a project that I'm so proud of. Maybe as much as anything else. Controversial!? Hell yeah."

"Will we get to hear it soon?", asked one fan (@OGCherLovely). "Yes", Cher replied.

Sonny & Cher's signature hit -- and 1960's classic -- I Got You Babe has been added to the Grammy Hall Of Fame, Billboard reports:

The Recording Academy has announced 25 new musical works that will be added to the Grammy Hall of Fame, including pieces by Prince, David Bowie, Nirvana, N.W.A and more.

"The GRAMMY Hall Of Fame represents all genres of music, acknowledging the diversity of musical expression for which The Academy has become renowned," said The Recording Academy president and CEO Neil Portnow in a statement. "Memorable and inspiring, these recordings are proudly added to our growing catalog and are an integral part of our musical, social and cultural history."

Cher Appears In Upcoming Documentary 'In This Climate'

Billboard reports that Cher appears in Pablo Ganguli' "short documentary about the perils of climate change":
