Cher Tweets: Pink Song Re-recorded & Another Finished

Cher
Cher took to social networking site Twitter to share that she continues to be in the recording studio, working on her new album.

She started by writing that she has re-recorded her vocals for one of the songs written for her by fellow songstress Pink - and she's pleased with the results. She wrote, "I re-did the vocals on one of Pink's songs and I'm a million times happier!"

The 66-year-old star continued to share that she has completed another song - whether she means her vocals or the entire song is not known - and that 'Believe' producer Mark Taylor has traveled over to the States to work with Cher on a trio of album tracks. "I finished another song and Mark Taylor came from London to do three more", she tweeted.

Cher continued to write about being in the recording studio - this time, a decade ago with Eros Ramazzotti. The pair duetted on the 2001 English/Italian single 'Piu Che Puoi'. Cher joked, "He pinched my ass while we were singing. He's Italian so if he hadn't pinched it, my feelings would have been hurt! Fun session".

  1. Tracks we have so far:

Womans World, [As We]? Collide, I Walk Alone (Pink), The Greatest Thing, Red, You Haven't Seen The Last of Me (2 mixes), You Can't Go Home (Pink2).

    Tracks to come:

3 Mark Taylor songs, 2? Diane Warren songs, 3? Timbaland\J-Roc songs, Oldie Remake, Kuk Harell song

Wow! I think I read 14 on standard edition, 19 on deluxe cd.

  2. I hope it is true she is covering the SNAP! euro-dance mega-hit, "Rhythm Is A Dancer" (it is the song's 20th anniversary in 2013) for this album. It would be spectacular.

  3. There won't be Collide on the album - Cher kinda hinted that on twitter, and she's probably not doing Rhythm is a Dancer cause that was a rumor started by a fan...

Hopefully it won't be too long before we found out!

    1. Regarding "Collide" - yes she certainly did hint that! I know as I was the one on the recieving end of the tweet, which was pretty harsh lol. "Wrong! Collide?", I remember her saying.

  5. She said "Collide" was WRONG. But she could be playing cagy because we know so much. The proper title is: As We Collide, though as the title, the writers, except for P. Oakenfold, are different! I saw this on YouTube - so, so song but could be great with a re-write and awesome producer.

  6. Cher's new set will not include 'Collide' and it's quite likely she can't recall the song. The demo of Collide was written for Cher and sent to her under the title She Wolf: Falling to Pieces - no a smash international hit for David Guetta feat. Sia (who wrote the song for Cher). Just go to you tube, listen to Collide instrumental, check out Sia's video and then google search cher and sia. all will be proven.

  10. The sad thing is in today's music world all albums peak in week 1 then fall down and off the charts. Cher's album will peak high then begin to fall in week 2. Outside of us big fans, the general public will only learn about this album in week one or two when she does promo for it but after that it sort of gets to be invisible. This is why artists put out album once every year or two just to be in the public eye. 2013 will mark 12 years without new Cher music so that puts her as a truly invisible act to the masses. WE fans will love her album but it is just an album and the media attention will die down fast. I hope Warner Bros has anther album in the works FAST after this. If not and Cher waits another decade, she will be in her 70s.

    1. If the album is a big success, I'd assume that another dance album will be released in the following three years. If it's only a moderate or minor success, then God knows!

  11. The problem since 2001 is not that Warners did not want to put out a Cher album it is that she did not record one. WB would have loved a new Cher CD back in 2003 or 2004 or 05 or 06... She just did not record one and when she started recording for some reason chose to take longer than she ever has since she started recording her own stuff in 1963/64. AFter this CD is out WB will WANT her to do another but the timing is all up to her. If Cher WANTS to cut a follow up CD she will but if she is not in the mood we and WB might wait for years. Sad but true.
