Chart-topping songstress Cher has revealed on social networking site Twitter that she has laid down the vocals to 9 songs of a new album.About the album, the 'I Hope You Find It' singer tweeted to her 3.6-million followers, "9 vocals down, 1 to go. [I] will redo some when I’m in London... [I'm] very hard to satisfy".
Despite it being 5 years since her last studio collection, Cher has been quick to record this offering, having revealed just last week that she had thus far recorded just four: “[The] songs [are] coming along well, but don't want to jinx it. [I] have worked every night [for] 2-3 [Hours]. Have done 4”.
Chers' last album was 2013's Closer to the Truth, which hit #3 on the US Billboard 200 and #4 over in the UK. Cher performed US lead single 'Woman's World' on the country's version of 'The Voice', before it hit #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. Its UK lead single, 'I Hope You Find It', provided Cher with another UK Top 40 single after she performed it on the country's 'The X Factor'.
Ahead of next month's premiere of her new movie Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again, the Academy Award-winner is to guest on a London-filmed edition of The Late Late Show With James Corden later this month. Cher revealed her plans for when she stops by in London: "Press, TV, MM2 Premiere. MM2 executives are allowing me to have a special screening of MM2 (night after premiere) for my charity 'FREE THE WILD'. Its open to the public before MM2 hits Theaters. Redoing Some vocals."
