Each one of the eight albums contain 3 CDs. Meaning that there are a total of 24 CDs!
And spread over the overall 24 CDs are some of the most-loved songs from 1964 all the way to 2006, including those by Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Jones, Marvin Gaye, Barry White, ABBA, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Kate Bush, Blondie, The Jam, Earth Wind & Fire, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, The Human League, Wham!, Tina Turner, Simple Minds, Soul II Soul, R.E.M., Duran Duran, The Cure, Seal, New Order, Hanson, Texas, Paul Weller, Oasis, Stereophonics, Take That, Outkast - and Goddess of Pop Cher!
The 70-year-old music icon appears twice on first collection "Top Of The Pops 1964 - 1969" with the folk-rock 'Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)' (UK#3, 1966) and the classic era-defining 'I Got You Babe' with Sonny (UK#1, 1965).
She once again appears on the "Top Of The Pops 1985 - 1989" set with her huge pop-rock ballad 'If I Could Turn Back Time' (UK#6, 1989).
Finally, unsurprisingly, Cher's mega-selling dance-pop 'Believe' (UK#1, 1998) appears on the "Top Of The Pops 1995 - 2000" album. The single is still the best-selling single by a female solo artist in the UK!
Cher first appeared on Top Of The Pops in 1965 with Sonny for 'I Got You Babe', then made her last appearance with 'The Music's No Good Without You' (UK#8) in 2001.
