ReplyDeleteThe flier led people to believe she'd maybe perform a song or take the stage, or host a few hours. None of those things happened. She was there about 15 minutes, spoke a few words from a wireless microphone, and left. It was a little bizarre. HUNDREDS of people gathered near the stage, some waiting over 3 hours to be in front. A stage she would never take. Management should have had the decency to make the announcement "Cher will NOT be anywhere near that stage, people." Did they think we were that thrilled by the stupid go-go boys? Please.
ReplyDeleteThis was usually a free-entry nightclub. This night it was $10 before 10pm and $40 after! That is what I was told anyway and I hope that is not true. I paid $10. $40 for WHAT? To see Cher watch a drag show from 800 feet away? This is Hollywood and we have much higher expectations here. I managed to work myself AWAY from the stage to where she was (she entered through an obscure door, with Carmen Electra behind her). Cher looked incredibly beautiful up close. Just like her photos. But I could easily have seen her in this same manner if I grocery shopped in Malibu!
We did not get, by any stretch of the imagination, what New York got. Not at all.
sorry to hear of that,, BUT we got same when she went to a Chelsea niteclub, she was on no stage nor sang, and watched DRAG QUUENS from up above a 2nd floor n go-go boys,,, booooooooooooooooo,,
