More Details About 'Dear Mom, Love Cher' - Georgia's TV Special

Cher has shared much about her Mother's upcoming TV special on Twitter and with 'Entertainment Weekly'.

'Entertainment Weekly' were given exclusive information about Georgia Holt's upcoming May television special - which is now known to be titled 'Dear Mom, Love Cher'.

The publication stated, "'Dear Mom, Love Cher' will focus on the singer’s family history and features interviews with Holt, her daughters Cher and Georganne LaPiere Bartylak, and grandchildren Chaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman. The documentary will begin with Holt’s childhood in rural Arkansas and chronicle her six “tumultuous” marriages while she helped Cher to pursue a career."

They added, "The documentary also features a never-before-heard duet performance with Holt and Cher, along with the long-lost recordings Holt taped more than three decades ago that Cher has re-mastered for commercial release later this year."

Cher herself spoke to 'Entertainment Weekly', saying, “This project started as a gift for my mom’s 86th birthday. Like most things in my family, it was initiated by my sister Georganne, who asked me if I could update mom’s album,” said Cher in a statement. So I went big … I’m known in the family for doing that. My sister and I are proud of our mom and we want to share her with the world. My mom is exactly like Rocky. She never gives up!”

Cher talked about the TV special and Georgia's album on Twitter just hours ago; she kicked off with, "Spent the day with Mom! Her album cover is so cool!"

As well as the duet of the pair that will be included on the album, it turns out that Cher has added further vocals of herself onto the album; "I just got Mom and my duet and harmonies that I did for her! ... God we sound good together!"

She went on to tweet, "OK! We just listened to the new edits of me and Mom! Duet sounds great, and of course Mom had tears when she heard the new harmonies that I put on the other two!"

When one fan (@ErickHolland85) tweeted Cher about his worry of not being able to view the TV Special in Holland, Cher answered, "It's OK! It will be shown there, and there is a DVD with little special extras. It will be shown in many countries!"

Within the same Twitter session, Cher revealed that she has recently done an interview with 'People' magazine, and she gave us a line from an unheard song from her upcoming September album - "Last night I dreamt I was floating with you".
