But it may come as a surprise that it is her jawline that most women appear to ask for when they decide to go under the plastic surgeon's knife: Marie Claire reports:
They say that beauty is in the eye of beholder, but we’re actually all predisposed to find particular features and proprtions attractive. Beauty is, in fact, in the eye of science. Angles, contours, curves and proportions of the face that work in harmony end up creating the concept of ‘beauty’. In layman terms, if a person’s face is in good proportion, we are more likely to notice it and find it beautiful.
But, if you were to look at every individual feature and pull together the most requested, ahem, tweaks, you’d end up with someone who has the Duchess of Cambridge’s ‘mathematically perfect’ nose, Keira Knightley’s eyes and Angelina Jolie’s cheeks, combined with Jennifer Lopez’s eyebrows, Penelope Cruz’s lips and Reece Witherspoon’s skin – completed by Miley Cyrus’s forehead, Selena Gomez’s chin and Cher’s jawline (in order of popularity).
Created by Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon, Dr Julian De Silva, from the requests of a 1,000 female patients planning surgery spanning ten years, this is supposedly the world’s most desirable face.
The result? Someone who sort of looks like Nina Dobrev.
Now, sure, this might be the ‘world’s most desirable face’ according to requests that plastic surgeons get, but we’re pretty happy with how we look and the fact that we all look different, so we’ll just stick to what our mamas gave us. Insert hair flick right here.
