Cher: 'Dressed To Kill Tour' MAY Reach The UK Plus Australia, Brazil, Mexico and New Zealand!

Cher on her 'Dressed To Kill Tour'Will Cher's 'Dressed To Kill Tour' travel overseas to the UK? It's "possible", the singer says.

The 68-year-old International star took to Twitter today to send her condolences to the families of the 298 victims of a Malaysia Airlines plane that was shot down with a ground-to-air missile in Ukraine: "Condolences to the families of Malaysia Airlines Ft 17. The plane was shot down in skies above Ukraine, by Russian-made BUK missile. RIP."

One fan (@Joannnna_) tweeted about an upcoming Albany, New York date of Cher's current North American 'Dressed To Kill Tour': "She is coming to Albany, OMG". Cher replied, "Possible world tour!! OMG".

"Maybe Australia?", asked fan @MarkButera. "Hhmmmm", the sexagenarian songstress replied.

Cher's second North American leg of her 'Dressed To KIll Tour' ends in November. However, its seems that a third North American leg will follow, meaning that overseas fans may have to wait a little longer than perhaps expected to catch the Goddess Of Pop in concert: "I will stay in the US until April?", Cher tweeted.

Another fan (@Wilmer____) asked Cher if she will be taking her tour to Colombia - "Maybe Mexico and Brazil", she answered.

A further fan (@kieranhug) asked the 'Strong Enough' singer if her 'Dressed To Kill Tour' will reach the UK: "Are you coming to the UK next year?" Cher responded, "Possible?! Trying to put it together now. Australia looking pretty good". She later added, "If I visit Aussie world New Zealand is a go".

"Do you love your UK fans?", asked @jadeyyleighh. "With all my heart", she answered, "UK loved Sonny & Cher when people at home [in the US] thought that we were creeps".

Oregan Live's David Greenwald reported that Cher's long-time drummer Mark Schulman talked to the Oregan publication about Cher's return to the stage:

Cher was supposed to be retired.

The singer, now 68, tried to say goodbye with her Living Proof Farewell Tour in 2002. But 2002 became 2003, then 2004 and even 2005, and when she got an offer to play Las Vegas next, she kept going.

Michael Schulman, her longtime drummer, had a reasonable explanation when he was in Portland for the diva's June 30 show at the Moda Center.

“Here’s the chronology of that,” he said. “She really thought… she was old when she was in her 50s. Her biggest tour was in 1999, that’s when I joined the band. It went so well, then they’re like, well… let’s make another record. That was the first farewell tour, she thought, that’s it. Great, I’ll do this.”

But when Vegas called, she couldn’t refuse.

“The problem with Vegas is it’s really ungratifying,” Schulman said. “When you’re used to touring with your own fans and getting all that love and energy from an audience that’s there to see you — when you go to Vegas it’s different, half the people are fans, half the people are high-rollers.”

Schulman drummed the first year of Cher’s three-year stint at Caesars Palace, and remembered one show with six Japanese businessmen in the front row: one bored, one asleep.

Cher and Pink drummer Mark Schulman's rock 'n' roll life
“I think she’s like, 'I don’t want this to be my end experience playing.' She’s in such good shape and why sit around doing frickin’ nothing if you’re Cher? Everything about her just screams 20 years younger than she is. She’s not over. There’s a lot of money to be made and a lot of people to make happy,” he said.

The Dressed To Kill tour, he added, has been in the works since 2010. And like her previous jaunts, it’s been a success already.

“This tour is outselling Lady Gaga’s tour,” he said. “She’s an awesome lady and an awesome talent and should still be out there doing what she’s doing.”

He wasn’t kidding about Gaga. Per Billboard, Cher has sold out 49 nows with Dressed to Kill and grossed $54.9 million, putting it on track to be one of the year’s top tours. And the shows themselves? Portland’s was great. Long live Cher.
