LA's world-famous TCL Chinese Theatre has undergone a four-month conversion to become the largest IMAX theatre in the world, and will re-open to the public on Thursday 20 September with the premiere of 'The Wizard of Oz' in IMAX 3D.

However, prior to the Friday's big launch, VIPs such as 'Burlesque' actress Cher have been granted access to the newly-renovated 86-year-old theatre to experience early showings of the updated 1939 family classic.

The 67-year-old Oscar-winner turned up to the theatre yesterday in an eye-catching beige and black outfit to watch the Judy garland-starring film on the new 94-foot-wide literally-silver screen.

  1. So nice to see Cher out and about in Hollywood and love the Queen Elizabeth II image on her skirt. I hope Cher gets to meet Queen Elizabeth II at some point in the UK. A photo of Cher and the Queen would be fun! Thanks for posting this article Daniel.

    2. I'm assuming that they met backstage at the 2001 Royal Variety Performance, on which Cher sang 'The Music's No Good Without You'.
