The heads at Warner Brothers are so proud of the quality of Cher's brand new 11-track collection of pop tracks that it has been uploaded to online store Amazon for all to hear.
The website reads: "The one and only Cher is back -- again -- and ready to release her first studio album in over 10 years. Listen to her new album, Closer to the Truth, for free until the album releases on September 24. If you like what you hear, pre-order the new album, available in both deluxe and standard versions.
While we're streaming the standard version, the deluxe album features three bonus tracks, including the song "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" from Cher's performance in the movie Burlesque. Both deluxe and standard versions are AutoRip-eligible, which means when you buy the CD, you get the MP3 version for free."
Yesterday, Billboard's Associate Director of Charts Keith Caulfield sat down with Cher at her home for an interview which is to be posted on the music publication's website in the near-future. Prior to the interview, Caulfield tweeted that 'Closer To The Truth' will be available on vinyl outside the United States; "Just got word that it will come out on vinyl (outside the U.S.) So U.S. fans can purchase it as an import."

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know which song Warner Brothers will be pushing to hit radio waves first? I have a feeling it might be "Dressed to Kill."
ReplyDeleteYay! I hope the vinyl release is a gatefold! Ooo or colored vinyl.
ReplyDeleteCant wait for the new album :D
ReplyDeleteI hope it comes to Slovenia in october. :)
Lovers Forever is by far the best and most classic Cher Song on that record. Its dancy and it really really rocks!! The lyrics are better than on most other songs, have a darker and more story driven theme to it and you really notice the perfect structure and orchestration and that it was therefore written for the Interview with a Vampire movie and planned for a 90s release. Its so fantastic and pure rock that i get to thinking, Cher should really do a rock LP next. And the other not so danc-songs like Sirens, Lie to Me, Favoutite Scars and I Hope you find it are some extremely strong tracks, which doesn't mean that the danc-pop stuff isn't good, but it stands behind her beautiful voice on these certain songs, where you really get a feeling what she can achieve.
