Cher has treated us to snapshots of some of the elaborate costumes in her closet that she has lined up to wear during her upcoming one-off private gig in Russia.
Cher tweeted, “Rosie is here and we are trying on 'Russian costumes'. Oh, I'll take pictures, but it's a mess! Looks like ten drag queens had a 'drag off'”.
When a Twitter user asked who Rosie is, Cher answered, “Rosie is my friend and has taken care of me and my costumes since Lincoln was a lawyer!”
She then uploaded the photographs, saying “These are the costumes that go with the songs that I'm singing in Russia! There are many more, because we have three costume changes for each song! So many tours”
You may recognize most of the costumes that will be worn during the 14 December concert – such as, what Cher calls, the red “Take Me Home dress”(which you can't see in the photos because it's in one of the boxes). The aforementioned outfit will, fittingly, be worn during her performance of the 1979 disco hit 'Take Me Home'. Cher will then add to it another item of clothing that you may recognize – the red ringleader jacket from her 'The Farewell Tour' – to move into the next song, 'Welcome To Burlesque'.
But exactly which outfit is her favourite – she answered, “Maybe the 'Turn Back Time' one! We've been together since we were young! I was cute then!”
