News Round-Up: Cher Tweets About New Music, New TV Musical And New Perfume. Plus Cher Nominated for British LGBT Award.

Cher revealed on Twitter that she has been working on her brand new perfume and was already wearing it - she tweeted, on Saturday: "Worked on perfume yesterday, wearing it today. Almost perfect. Think it needs dash more Vanillia... And it's Perfect."

The Emmy-, Grammy- and Oscar-winner also revealed news of a different exciting project: "Asked to do great musical for TV".

One fan of the legendary chart-topper asked her if she will make new music. Cher answered, "Yes talked about that too. Company asked about concept... Not Sure what that is. Once I thought about doing greatest hits by men?"

On the topic, the singer-actress continued, "I Love Country and I would make my mom delirious. Have a little time to think. Acoustic or... Just Great Songs⁉️"

Meanwhile, the 'Living Proof' songstress has been nominated for a British LGBT Award for Global Icon 2016. The awards have stated the following about the enduring star's nomination:

Cher is a 69-year-old singer, songwriter, actress and activist. Cher rose to fame as one-half of the folk rock husband-wife duo Sonny & Cher, which spawned a five-decade career that continues today. As a singer, Cher has sold 200 million records worldwide and is the only artist to have a number-one single on the Billboard chart in each decade from the 1960s to the 2010s. She has been recognised with over 402 worldwide industry awards for her work in music, television and film throughout her career. In 2013, Cher received the ‘Legend’ Award from Attitude magazine. In 2014, she refused to participate at the Sochi Winter Olympics. In 1998, she won a GLAAD Media Award. In October 2005 the Bravo program Great Things About Being... declared Cher "the number one greatest thing about being gay.

Cher is nominated alongside politician Hilary Clinton, comedian Stephen Fry, singer Lady Gaga, actor Sir Ian McKellen, singer-actress Bette Midler, comedienne Jennifer Saunders and actor George Takei.


In other news... Demi Lovato imitated music artists on NBC's The Tonight Show Friday, while playing Wheel of Musical Impressions with host Jimmy Fallon. Among them, she imitated Goddess of Pop Cher
