The 67-year-old singer has earned yet another Dance Club Songs top ten hit with her current single 'Take It Like A Man', which has risen to #7 on its 6th week on the chart (dated 18 January) having ascended from #13 the week before.
The song, which features lyrics from Cher and backing vocals from Scissor Sisters front-man Jake Shears, follows 'Woman's World' (which reached #1) to become the second Dance Club Songs top ten from Cher's new album 'Closer To The Truth'.
'Take It Like A Man' is Cher's 16th hit on the Dance Club Songs chart. From 1979 to 1996, she charted infrequently on the chart but since transforming into full-on dance-pop diva mode in 1998, she has regularly been a visitor of its top spot - with 8 #1s. She has charted on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart - which showcases the most popular songs in U.S. dance clubs - in all five decades of its existence:
