Between the years 1965 and 1974, Sonny & Cher charted a dozen albums and spent almost 300 weeks on the US Billboard 200 album chart. Their biggest success was 1965's studio album 'Look At Us', which spent a staggering eight weeks at #2 on the chart (it was kept off the top spot by The Beatles' 'Help!') and was certified Gold within a couple of months after release. It was a million-seller but not their only one - 1971's Grammy Award-nominated Gold-certified 'All I Ever Need Is You' sold a million copies too!
Their first compilation album, 1967's 'The Best of Sonny & Cher' spent a noteworthy 64 weeks on the Billboard 200 in the sixties and seventies! Their strong back-catalogue and Cher's ongoing success means that Sonny & Cher compilation albums are still being produced to this day.
